1) 3%

The first Portuguese-language original series made for Netflix (and the second non-English production), 3% is a dystopian thriller set in a future with an immense and all-consuming class divide. Affluence is present in the Offshore and poverty in the Inland, with candidates battling to reach the island to be part of humanity's brightest, despite their chances of succeeding, at 3%, being so small. With thought provoking scenes mimicking those of our own society, 3% is recommended for people looking for an eye-opening thrill this bank holiday. The show is also available in a variety of languages, despite being made originally for Portuguese audiences, so everyone can enjoy the magic.

2) Lost in Space

Bank HolidayCrash landings in space can throw your world upside down. Lost in Space is a science fiction web show based on the 1965 series with the same name, and is set in a dystopian future where Earth is dying and civilisation is ruined. As well as Earth’s ruin, the Robinson Family are having troubles of their own; with a distracted out-of-the-picture father who is too busy in his army career to be there for his kids, mum Maureen battles to keep their family unit together and running. This wormhole adventure will grip you from start to finish, featuring an alien planet and a desperate family’s struggle for survival. Watch as two parents fight to keep their kids alive for a future in the unknown depths of space. A great watch for the whole family, it will keep your kids entertained during the bank holiday madness.
